On this 2nd Sunday of Advent & the focus on HOPE, we will continue to move toward the conclusion of the Book of Acts. Acts 24-26 is an account of Paul’s repeated arraignments & trials in Caesarea. 3 audiences - with Governor Felix, with Governor Festus, & with King Herod Agrippa II (not to mention Herod Agrippa II’s 2 sisters) - with accusations, testimony, intrigue, befuddlement, & Paul’s desire - I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am (26:29b). Paul understands that Jesus is the source of our deepest HOPE. This is another large portion of Scripture text to cover, so it would be helpful if you read the passage before Sunday.
